The most-used thyroid AI was trained on South Korean and Western patients. Local iodine levels and cancer rates differ, so thresholds set abroad slip exactly where it matters most, on the borderline cases.
We're building a labelled ultrasound set with Saudi hormone and head-and-neck teams, training a model on it, and checking it against real biopsy results.
