Diagnosis still leans on invasive endoscopy and biopsy, often after a long symptomatic delay. The gut microbiome shifts early in IBD, but that signal isn't used at the point of triage.
We train models on fecal microbiome profiles to estimate a patient's IBD risk from a non-invasive sample, flagging who warrants prioritized endoscopic workup. Early-stage; not yet clinically validated.
